Description
MT5 is a Polysulfide toner that leads to cool brown image tones. The main difference of this type of toner to normal sepia toners is that polysulphide toners can be used directly and indirectly (i.e., with or without a bleaching stage). MT5 is an excellent toner for archival protection and depending on dilution used, can produce very little colour change, if so desired. Excellent capacity and keeping properties. Suggested dilutions: 1:10 to 1:50. When using Polysulfide toners, weaker dilutions result in more colour.
- Polysulfide toner for cool brown image tones.
- Direct toner for warm tone emulsions.
- Cold and neutral tone papers can be toned indirectly (after bleaching) if intense colors are desired.
- For warmer brown tones it can be mixed with the Sienna sulfur toner, for cool purple tones it can be mixed with the carbon toner.
- Dilution: 1+10 to 1+50
This toner should only be used in rooms with good ventilation or alternatively outdoors!
